DELUXE OPORTO | FOZ & BOAVISTA

Two of the most coveted areas to live in, Foz and Boavista are also pleasant areas to walk around. They contain two of the most relevant cultural structures in the city, Casa da Música and the Serralves Foundation. The old Foz was a land of fishermen and still pays homage to them through the statue of the Homem do Leme (Man of the Rudder). Today, this is an elite address and is also an airy neighbourhood, standing next to the sea and offering a nice visit that includes architecture, nature, sports and gastronomy fans. The Boavista avenue was first opened in the 18th century and augmented in lenght over the next decades. It goes to Foz and its construction was part of a plan that intended to connect the city with the Leixões port. It's the longest artery in Porto, 5km long.
