We have walked up the tree-lined avenues of São Sebastião da Pedreira district, then past  the Eduardo VII Park, and from there we could see the balconies of an iconic place in the history of Lisbon.

The Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon, one of the oldest and most famous hotels in town, has been a luxury address since the 1950s, chosen by kings, rock stars and supermodels for their stays in the Portuguese capital.

With a sumptuous atmosphere and the public areas decorated with works of art by famed  visual artists like Almada Negreiros (1893 - 1970), it hides even more unique private spaces that El Corte Inglés could discover one night in one of the special suites of the hotel: precisely the Almada Negreiros suite.

We dreamed of a three-tone Christmas, inspired by the warm ambiance of the wood-panelled dining-room and distinguished by the artist’s tapestry, by the huge fireplace, by the  striking chandeliers on the walls with a modern lighting system and by the atmosphere of pure comfort this space offers.

With classic rocking horses and nutcrackers, trees with stylised berries, the most traditional tartans and limitless ideas on how to reinvent Christmas, using as many colours as we feel like, we have created multiple Christmas Eves, without forgetting how everything started: the chidhood memories with their stories and characters that we remember throughout our lifetime and are transmitted across generations,  just like the Ritz is the pure embodiment of the cultural heritage of Portugal and has been a constant presence in the Lisbon panorama for 70 years.
