Christmas table styling Workshop at the Hilton Porto Gaia Hotel
It was with a superb view over the Douro river and the city of Porto that the Hilton Gaia Hotel hosted the Christmas table styling Workshop promoted by El Corte Inglés. The initiative took place on December and the architect Catarina Alves was the special guest.
Catarina Alves, an architect and interior designer responsible for the trademark Cate, organized a workshop dedicated to the most magical table of the year – the Christmas Table. El Corte Inglés challenged the architect to set her ideal Christmas dining table and share the reasons for her choices with the guests.
The result was a table full of magic, with a colour palette of gold and green, and some Art Deco notes. Whereas the golden elements created a festive atmosphere full of light, so characteristic of this season, the greens and the natural elements referred to the season’s spirit and tradition. The dinnerware, the glasses, the cutlery, the ornamental items, the lights and the textiles were all sellected according to Catarina Alves’s criteria and their combination resulted in a magical ambience ready to receive family and friends.
The workshop was a remarkable convivial moment that provided opportunities for suggestions and sharing of ideas, while also promoting the wide range of items available at El Corte Inglés.
